HIGHWAY TO BE CLOSED BRIEFLY FOR NYSEG TRANSMISSION LINE REPAIR
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Elmira, NY, October 6, 2008 – On Tuesday, October 7 at approximately 11 a.m. – weather permitting – a NYSEG contractor will be repairing a high-voltage power line that crosses Interstate 86 in the Town of Campbell (Steuben County). The work will be done from a helicopter and will take only about five minutes.
While the work is being done, the eastbound lanes of the highway will be closed between mile markers 4359 and 4361. NYSEG is coordinating the work with the New York State Department of Transportation and the New York State Police.
In case of inclement weather, the work will be done on Wednesday, October 8 at 11 a.m.
