NYSEG Line Crews Assisting With Central Hudson’s Power Restoration Efforts

Rochester, NY – NYSEG, a subsidiary of Iberdrola USA, is assisting Central Hudson Gas and Electric with power restoration efforts in the Hudson Valley following Wednesday’s storm. NYSEG has already provided 12 two-person line crews to support Central Hudson’s efforts. The six Oneonta crews had been providing storm restoration assistance in NYSEG’s Liberty Division; the six Geneva and Auburn crews had been working in NYSEG’s Brewster Division. The crews are expected to return home over the weekend.

“We have the resources needed to restore power safely and as quickly as possible to the few NYSEG customers who are without power,” said Mark S. Lynch, president and CEO of NYSEG and RG&E. “As we complete our work and can spare crews, we will assist Central Hudson. It is important for utilities to support one another when destructive storms strike and leave customers without essential power. Central Hudson would be there to assist us and we are there for them.”
