NYSEG variable price option

Option 3. NYSEG Variable Price Option

This option consists of a variable NYSEG supply charge, a fixed transition charge, and a fixed NYSEG delivery charge. The supply charge changes each month as the market price of electricity fluctuates.

Nonresidential demand billed customers who receive their supply from NYSEG and do not enroll by 7 p.m. on December 30, 2008 will be automatically placed in this option.

Selecting the NYSEG Variable Price Option
If you select this option, you will remain on the NYSEG Variable Price Option through December 31, 2009 unless you choose to switch to a supplier other than NYSEG, also known as an energy services company or ESCO.

When can you enroll?

  • Eligible customers on the ESCO Price Option may enroll in this option at any time.
  • Eligible new customers or existing customers who are moving within our service area may select this option during the first 60 days of service.

Is this your current pricing option?

Customers currently enrolled in the NYSEG Variable Price Option can switch to the ESCO Price Option at any time.  You must contact a supplier to make this selection; they will enroll your account for you.
