NYSEG Continues Restoration Efforts in Hardest Hit Divisions of Brewster and Liberty - 11:30 a.m.

BREWSTER, NY — March 5, 2018, 11:30 a.m. — NYSEG, a subsidiary of AVANGRID Inc., has discovered additional damage including downed power lines, broken poles and tree limbs. The company has updated its estimated time of restoration to 11:45 p.m. Tuesday night when it plans to have 90% of customers in the Brewster and Liberty divisions in Delaware, Dutchess, Putnam, Sullivan, Ulster, and Westchester counties restored.

“With substantial damage discovered, we are focusing resources on bringing power back tomorrow evening to the majority of customers in Brewster and Liberty. We recognize the inconvenience this delay will cause and appreciate our customers' patience as we continue to do everything we can to restore power as quickly as possible.” said Carl A. Taylor, President and CEO of NYSEG.
