Contact your local bank or supermarket to see whether they accept payments on behalf of NYSEG. For your convenience, you may pay your bill at pay agents located throughout our service area. These are typically businesses such as banks or supermarkets. Payments received at pay agents may not be posted to your account on the day you make your payment.
You can also drop off your bill payment at any of our 13 NYSEG office locations.
Important things to consider:
- Payment Methods: Payments may be made using cash, check, or money order. Credit card payments are not accepted.
- Posting of Payments: To allow for processing time, and to avoid late payment charges, we recommend that you pay your bill several days prior to the due date.
- Fees: Some pay agents may elect to charge a fee (up to $1) to process your payment. We do not receive any portion of this fee.
- Termination Notices: If you have a termination notice which will soon expire, please call us at 1.888.315.1755 (Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., excluding holidays) prior to making payment at a pay agent.
- Receipts: Please save your payment receipt for your records.
- Bring Your Bill: While some pay agents will accept payments with just your NYSEG account number, most pay agents need your bill stub to accept your payments.
