An opportunity to better manage electricity use and cost

The goal of Hourly Pricing is to reduce peak demand and shift electricity use to off-peak,
less expensive time periods. It also allows customers to measure their actual energy use by the hour.

Hourly Pricing was initiated in 2007 for customers with a demand of 1000 kilowatts (kw) or greater. Starting in January 2009, this program is expanded to include customers with 400 kw or greater demand.
