NYSEG Statement on Winter Storm Sage Spoilage Reimbursement
BINGHAMTON, N.Y. — March 17 — The following is a statement from New York State Electric and Gas (NYSEG).
“NYSEG’s Mechanicville division (serving portions of Columbia, Rensselaer, Saratoga, and Washington counties) had approximately 14,000 outages due to Winter Storm Sage. Of those customers, approximately 40 were without power for more than 72 hours and may be eligible to receive an extended outage bill credit and apply for reimbursement for food or medicine spoilage. The Company is contacting those customers directly to inform them.”
