NYSEG to Host Community Connection Event in Liberty

Customers can meet one-on-one with representatives to learn about bill assistance and energy-management programs ahead of winter

WHAT: NYSEG will host a Community Connection event where customers can meet one-on-one with customer service representatives, ask questions, get help understanding their bills, and learn about tools to manage energy use.

WHEN: Tuesday, October 13, from 4 to 7 p.m.

WHERE: Town of Liberty Parks and Recreation, 119 N. Main St., Liberty, N.Y.

WHY: Customer advocates can help determine whether customers qualify for the Energy Assistance Program (EAP), which offers an additional monthly bill credit, or the Enhanced Affordability Program (EEAP). Representatives can also provide information about budget billing, payment plans, energy-efficiency programs, and Energy Manager.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Customers who need assistance can call NYSEG customer service at 800.572.1111 or visit Help With Your Bill | NYSEG.

HEAP enrollment opens November 2, and funds are available until exhausted. Customers can review eligibility requirements and application information on the New York State OTDA website.
