A Reminder on Estimated Restoration Times

If your power goes out we know that accurate restoration times are important to you. Once you’ve reported your outage, there are many factors that we use to determine when power will be restored.

  • We’ll provide an initial estimate of how long it will take our crews to restore your power based on our past performance restoring power in a similar situation. We may use the term “assessing” regarding your outage if we have not yet completed our investigation of repairs that need to be made, but are aware that an outage may be affecting your service.

  • During severe weather events, it’s important that we first assess the extent of damage to the electricity delivery system and work with emergency responders on keeping everyone safe - guarding, removing or de-energizing downed wires and clearing inaccessible areas to allow vehicles to enter or exit areas.

  • Estimated restoration times may change as our crews evaluate the cause and extent of damage and calculate the time their work will take to safely restore your power. We’ll continue to keep you informed.

  • Outage List and Outage Map Reminder: You can view estimated times of restoration for your municipality, town or street with our Outage List  or  Outage Map . The estimated restoration time reflects the estimate for the last customer impacted in the specified area to have power restored.

  • The best way to get information about your specific location is to sign up for  Outage Alerts .
