NYSEG Launches A New and Easy Way for Customers to Manage Energy Use

ITHACA, NEW YORK - April 23, 2018 NYSEG, a subsidiary of AVANGRID Inc. (NYSE: AGR), a diversified energy company, announced a new tool for customers looking for ways to save energy and cut costs. Energy Manager is an online tool now available for homes and some small businesses with smart meters within the Energy Smart Community in the Tompkins County area. It works with smart meter data to provide a detailed analysis of energy use hour by hour, and day by day.

Energy Manager provides customers with the opportunity to take control of the ways they use energy. Customers can create an action plan by selecting from a checklist of ways to save money, and to reduce their carbon footprint. Hourly electric usage information is updated four times a day and hourly natural gas usage information is updated once a day, for customers to view at their convenience.

Energy Manager puts information and tools in the hands of our customers to make informed choices about their energy use at any time, said Keith Lorenzetti, program director for Energy Smart Community, AVANGRID. Being a part of the Energy Smart Community is a way for our customers to contribute to a more sustainable energy future.

NYSEG expects to extend these or similar offerings to all customers throughout the service territory over the next few years. For more information about Energy Manager go to NYSEG.com click on Your Home and select Energy Smart Community.
