NYSEG Crews Hard at Work to Restore Power for Remaining Customers in Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess and Sullivan Counties - 9 p.m.

More Than 99% of NYSEG Customers Statewide Now Have Power

BREWSTER, NEW YORK - March 9, 2018, 9:00 p.m.  NYSEG, a subsidiary of AVANGRID Inc. (NYSE: AGR), continues to make strong progress repairing the electrical infrastructure damaged by two severe snow storms within the past week. As of 8:30 p.m., less than 1,000 customers remain without power in the hardest hit areas of Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess and Sullivan counties.

Restoration crews in Brewster have focused on addressing more than 2,400 downed lines and have replaced 275 broken poles. More than 1,200 personnel continue to work in the affected areas until all remaining customers without power are restored. Once restoration is complete, teams will canvas NYSEG's electrical infrastructure and make further, more permanent repairs and remove trees or tree limbs that are adjacent to the Company's equipment and infrastructure to strengthen the system for the next weather event.

Our restoration teams continue to work day and night to ensure safety and restore service to our customers, said Carl A. Taylor, NYSEG President and CEO. As we near complete restoration, we thank the public for their many kind words regarding our company, contractor, municipal and mutual assistance crews who worked in all weather conditions, and we want to thank our municipal partners and first responders, law enforcement, firefighter and public works personnel who helped us respond to these two extreme weather events.

Until restoration is complete, NYSEG will continue to work with elected and municipal officials at all levels of government to coordinate shelters, dry ice and bottled water distribution, and to manage downed wires, road openings, staging areas for our equipment and crews, and restoration of critical facilities. Customers who have an outage and do not see their street address listed on the outage page should report the outage online or by calling 800.572.1131. NYSEG has additional safety information including available shelters, warming centers as well as dry ice and bottled water locations at NYSEG.com and on the company's Facebook and Twitter pages.
