NYSEG Continues Restoration Efforts While Keeping a Close Watch on The Forecast - 4 p.m.

BREWSTER, NY - March 6, 2018, 4:00 p.m.  NYSEG, a subsidiary of AVANGRID Inc. (NYSE: AGR), continues restoration efforts to the majority of customers affected by the winter storm. As of 4 p.m., more than150,000 customers have had their power restored, out of 185,000 customers restored statewide. NYSEG crews and contractors are focused on efforts as the company monitors weather forecasts in advance of another potential heavy snow expected for the northeast this week.

The company currently has more than 2,000 personnel committed to safely restoring power to the majority of customers in Delaware, Dutchess, Putnam, Sullivan, Ulster and Westchester counties by 11:45 p.m. tonight. This includes an additional 340 crews and contractors who began today on restoration efforts. NYSEG also has additional overnight crews who will continue restoration work and be ready to respond to other weather related emergencies.

The company urges everyone to stay away from downed power lines. Even lines that appear dead can be dangerous. NYSEG will provide updates and any additional information on available shelters, dry ice and bottled water on the company's website, Facebook and Twitter pages.
