NYSEG Crews at Work to Restore Power to 90pct of Customers by Saturday Evening - 4 p.m.

BINGHAMTON, NY — March 3, 2018, 4:00 p.m. — NYSEG, a subsidiary of AVANGRID Inc. (NYSE: AGR), continues restoration efforts following heavy snow, increasing winds and fallen tree limbs which caused outages across the state. As of 4 p.m., approximately 91,000 outages are affecting both homes and businesses. NYSEG expects to have more than 90% of customers affected by this storm restored by tonight at 11:45 p.m. in the Elmira, Geneva, Binghamton, Ithaca, Hornell, Lancaster, Mechanicville, and Oneonta divisions.
There are more than 1,200 personnel responding to the storm, including additional resources from Maine. Crews and contractors are expected to continue to work 17 hour shifts throughout the night on restoration efforts until all customers are restored.
The following areas are distribution sites for dry ice and bottled water. Supplies are distributed on a first come, first served basis, until they run out.
